Fair Isle Hat Finished

I cast-off the hat last night. Elements used in knitting this hat were first time things for me. This is my first attempt at a hat, my first at knitting Fair Isle and the first time I used the 3 needle bind off. I really enjoyed knitting this, and it wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be, once I got the hang of 2 color knitting. I am already planning a BIG project.....a sweater for my husband :)

can i ask where you went to get your neat header background...?

Im so sick of the choices that blogger gives and I want something cool. If I could figure out how to add my own photos I would.

Your new blog looks fab!!

I love the hat Janet! You did a great job. What yarn did you use? The colors are beautiful too.

The hat looks wonderful! What pattern are you going to use for your hubby's sweater? I've been too chicken to try a large Fair Isle project so I'm interested in watching your progress.

Thanks for the comments about my hat Denise. It was a fun project to learn. The yarn I used is by Universal Yarn Inc and is called Classic Worsted LP, color # 11051. I hate color #'S. The yarn has grays and some blush-like colors. The other yarn is Simply Soft in black.

Thanks also to Christine, Breien and Sue for your wonderful comments.

Sue, the sweater I plan to knit for DH is from Philosopher's Wool book called "Fair Isle Sweaters Simplified" I think Daivd has decided on a pattern called Windows. I wanted to make matching sweaters, but not sure I care for this one for myself. I need to get a final choice made so I can order the yarn.
